Portable Hunting Camp

Louisiana has some of the best public land hunting lands in the nation. The only bad thing is they are all at least 1-3 hours away from where I live. Tenting is getting old, and I'm ready for faster setup, cleaning, and take-down times.

I have been to this site hundreds of times over the last 5+ years. I finally had an idea that has made me want to start building. I need the 48" wide trailer for storage reasons, but want 60" wide for when I have a buddy that wants to come along. The first option is to build over the wheels to 60" wide. Here is my new idea:

The only real challenge I see at this point is moving the axle to clear the slideout.

Hi Kendall, how about making the slide-out up higher and having storage under the floor? That way it would go right over the wheels and you wouldn't have to move the axle. The other thing is if you post this in one of the built threads on here you would get more info and a lot of ideas. The other guys on here are really good. Erv
