Pat and I have reservations for 2 nights at Keuka Lake SP on the way up to FCP. It's right in the heart of wine country. We're staying at River Trail Crossing the first night in Butler, OH where there is a Buckeye gathering later that month, then 2 nights at Keuka, and then on to FCP. We're coming back a more eastern route down I81 and think we will wing it on the way back. Things shouldn't be too busy during the week.

We're at FCP for 6 nights, Wed til Tues.

Mark and Pat

Mark- We're heading up on Wednesday also- maybe we could meet at the Cracker Barrel just off of I81 for breakfast before we head up to FCP.

Where Did All the 'Mystery' Campers Come From?

Postby campadk » Wed Apr 15, 2009 7:16 pm

Well just added Marvin and Diane (Western PA) to the list... and low and behold I noticed that the rest of the sites have been recently booked! Anybody know who is on 211, 212 and 213? I'm going to have to check to see if there are any sites left in the neighbourhood for any late comers. Looks like 43 campsites have now been booked for the TearUp... wow! Its going to be dog eat dog this year at the pot luck!

On that note... it better not rain on the Saturday evening! (never has in previous years... YET!) lol

A monday and tuesday in early June, you will have the whole park to yourself.

I am tempted to book those days myself and go to FCP from there.

All to yourselves? This year it is already packed in mid April! 15 sites were occupied this weekend. Yoo Hoos filled the crisp night air on Friday night, young newborns could be heard crying, teens were swimming in the ponds, and the lone Guitarman Ghost was seen by our tear on Friday as well...

The Snoozer is out for a few trips this year including the Spring Fling at Delta Lake in May. The 40 Winker (our Airstream) will be attending the TearUp however.

To bad Delta Lake doesn't open until the GTG. I am at Turning Stone for a RV.NET GTG the weekend before short trip from there to Delta Lake.

To much $$$ to stay at Turning Stone for the extra 5 nights, still looking at options to see if I can make it work, without coming all the way home in between.

Postby triker45 » Fri Apr 24, 2009 5:14 pm

Howdy Rick. Due to time constraints there is going to be alot of freeway flying so I guess it will be the Rav 4. Would be nice to have the time to take the trike. Oh well! See ya in June. Jerry

My plans have changed slightly for the Tearup. Instead of arriving on June 9 and leaving on June 14; we will come in one day later (June 10) and leave on Monday (June 15).
Not a major change but we have to attend a wedding in Minneapolis on June 6-7. That's 10 1/2 hours from our home and then 21+ hours to FCP.

We'll have plenty of miles on the car before we finally make it to FCP.

It will sure be nice to relax, do some kayaking, play a little music and see old and new friends. Can't wait.

Looks like my plans are changing too, but for the better.... Looks like after the tear up I will be staying until the 21st.

I have a friend that wants to camp the ADK but can't get the first week off. So he will come up with other friends the Friday of the GTG and stay when they go home Sunday.

Only problem is I will have to change sites, might go over to Rollins Pond after the tear-up.

An Extra week in paradise so hard to take....
