Anyone knows where to buy 8 or 10 inch wider tires to replace
the stock tires from harbor freight.

Thanks

Hi Ralph,

You might try here. Eastern Marine If your current tire is 4.80 wide you can go up to a 5.30, any wider than that, I think you will have to change wheels. As cheap as trailer wheels are with the tires already mounted, that might be the way to go. I've seen 5.30 X 8 and 10 at my local Wal-mart too.

Don't forget that half the wider tyre's width will stick inwards, so you might run out of clearance between the tyre and the frame.

If the 8 or 10 inch wheels you are using are a 4" pcd, you could always look for a pair of 10" wheeld from a classic Mini, as these will fit straight on. If you are lucky enough to find a pair from a Mini Cooper, which are wider you can go up to a 185 width tyre

now your 8" wheels can be purdy too... aluminum wheels with spinners even

I have to believe those are the coolest looking 8" wheels i've ever seen. Didn't see the price, but I'll bet thats handsome too.

Edit: I think those are for fourwheelers or gocarts now looking through there.... Not sure they are built for hwy speeds as the same site offers steel wheels listed for trailers.

Steve,
Thanks for the referral to Eastern Marine.
I was able to find two wide tires that fit perfectly.
I will post pictures for everyone to enjoy or comment.
I very proud of my tiny teardrop trailer. It only took me thirty years
to complete a child's long dream project.
