Decided to make some curtains today (along with other stuff). I had some material left from an upholstery job I did some time back. Mrs Starleen determined that this was fitting enough for the camper so let the sewing begin

Rogaine anyone??

Made a matching set – but you’ll have to wait until more of the build is completed to see em’ installed – got to get those windows in first! Also completed the bed platform and installed aluminum flashing in the wheel wells – Will post some pictures at a later time – to tired from all the days activities. But the check list is getting shorter

Geez- I hope my neighbors don’t think I’m running a meth Lab – I’ve started the resin coating process on the lower half. I’m using 5 mm luan so I want it sealed pretty well. My desire is to only have some aluminum trim on the lower panels and around the wheel wells. I have fiberglassed the seams and the edges and now comes the fun – Sanding, sanding, sanding – I came in today covered in fiberglass dust. But its those small details that pay off in the end ;)

Great job, I'm enjoying watching this come together.....you're moving right along

The Winter Warrior design is very cool; it's one I would like to do myself someday......(I hope the wife doesn't read this * * * looks furtively over his shoulder * * *)

Do you have any pics of your fiberglassing? (I've been considering this on my trailer.....mebbe)

Hope to have some soon - Still apply the resin and fiberglassing some seams, and sanding - this rainy weather we're having isn't helping with the curing time either

More pictures for you guys - Applying resin to the back

Sanding on the sides – the vertical strips are fiberglassesd seams. The front radius has a strip of fiberglass to seal the edges

Scott,
Maybe I missed it earlier in the thread but, what kind of paint/finish are you considering?..........not trying to rush you or anything

This is the paint scheme
Image

Paint will be what I've used before in the three previous builds - An oil based exterior enamel - I'm coating the shell in resin to reduce the chances of plywood "checking" plus I don't want any seams showing or cracking - heck of a way of waterproofing the seams. If moisture can get past them seams - we'll call it houdini!

Air conditioner installation. The Ac unit slides into place and is secured by two wing nuts. When not in use (winter time camping), the AC can be removed and a hatch plate covers the hole
152173
152177

Installed the windows after the first application of resin. This time I went with the flush mount (after using a home style on the previous three.
152176
152175

Sanding – as you can see, I’m trying to get a good flush fit on the edges with a gentle rounding of the edges. All of the Glass work is done so there should n’t be any seams
152174
152175

Dang - thats a lot of Dust!

More sanding – Did get a guide coat on to show the spots that need some attention – with the first coat on you can see the compound bow in the front. I’ll give it some drying time and then back to sanding
152178

I'm getting closer to the Hatch - the whole build hinges on it
