New guy in Central MO

Postby CaveCanem » Sun Apr 26, 2009 3:49 pm

After kind of searching, passivly, my wife found a delapidated pop-up. The trailer is in good condition as is the wiring. So, next step is stripping down to the frame and starting the build. I look forward to sharing the experience and picking everyone's brain. Photos promised as work progresses.

In other news, my wife and I were big into camping until I opened my own business. Hopefully, by the time I finish the tear drop we'll have time to camp again. I'm also into bird watching and hiking, although the business doesn't allow a lot of time for those either.

Welcome to another MO newbie! :applause: My husband and I joined a few weeks ago and have met some of the local campers in our area. While we haven't actually camped yet, they were gracious enough to give us a tour and spend some time sharing their advice. You've definitely come to the right place to learn about tear drops! So jump in feet first and have fun! :vroom:

My wife and I used to do exclusively tent camping until our daughter was born. Then we got an old pop-up my wife totally renovated. just made life easier and gave us room to pack all the extras we needed. However, we've always wanted a tear drop, and I've always wanted to build it, so here we are.

Image to the playground Steve. Do go to the gathering if you get a chance. Nothing like seeing a teardrop in person.

Now for the good stuff........Ya gotta take lots of :pictures: :pictures: :pictures: to keep the bubble oil level and post them cause we have a serious addiction.  8)

I doubt we'll make the May 8-9 event. Price of owning my own business. I'll be sure to keep an eye out for future events though. Hopefully things will settle down enough we can start camping again (and building) and go to some events like this one.

Welcome to the forum Steve...

Yea, you'll find time to camp again. It'll be when you get all the priorities lined up in a row!
