TTT Construction.

In my spare time I'm helping a friend with his TTT. It is a used trailer that has had some water leakage. It's about 12' long, I'm not sure of the manufacturer. He had me over to pick my brain about power. He has gutted it and I'm amazed how they commercialy build campers. The walls have an aluminum skin stapled to 1x2s that are on 16"-24" centers and are laying flat. The ceiling is the same skin and 1x4s laying flat. Boy, did I overbuild my TD. He is going to reinforce the roof by adding a 1x2 Poplar, glue and screwed to the 1x4s to make a sideways "T". I'm also thinking that he should adhear the skin and reinforce the wood joints with something like either an epoxy or low expansion foam.

The commercial ones only build as strong as required [mostly] with nothing extra, whereas here they are generally built quite robustly (only my observation). 8)
