1st Rustic Whitethorn Run!!!... April 24th-26th, 2009

Postby Dean in Eureka, CA » Sun Mar 29, 2009 12:18 pm

We finally heard back from Gene and Eddie... Them boys have been busy!!!

RUSTIC WHITETHORN RUN at CloudWalker Ranch , a unique,
one-of-a-kind retreat, rustic camping, Teardrop Homesteader themed, off the
grid get-together for all hardy teardroppers & friends in the remote hills of
northwestern California, between the Kings Range and the Pacific Ocean ...
no electricity and no flush toilets! If you think you've got what it takes to rough
it and have fun, set this date aside. It will be alot of fun!!!

Remember... This gathering is one week before the Dam Gathering and would make a great addition to your travels if you've got the time to make both gatherings.

I'm sorry I will not be able to make this gathering. I'll be learning the role of "Mother of the Bride" at a bridal faire at/in Lake Tahoe. The event premiers on Sept 12, after which I'll be learning a new role, Monster-in-law!!

I will look forward to another time to check out Gene's place. Sounds like a great setting!
A truly happy person is one who can enjoy the scenery on a detour!

I so hoped to come. Would really have liked to see and explore that part of Nor Cal. Teardrop building time has been moving along too slowly. All I have is a bare floor on the trailer. My blood is too thin to camp in a chilly SST up in Nor Cal again.

Please say Happy Birthday to Joanie for me.

Maybe, maybe not....got 2 people looking for them, I've got my back up lighting...chili peppers. Going for some spots on the "hill" this time around, got power over there, and since the weather isn't supposed to be really hot, should be warmer than over in the trees. Doug
