:o 8) Are we resting or getting in a rut.............? Mike and I went out fishing yesterday but took a walk around the pits we were at. Not very far but we were up and down all day. Need to do some squats every morning. Climbing that bank was a chore by the end of the day. Next time I will get a picture.

I've had a problem with GOUT! First in my left foot and then my right elbow! It has had me down for two weeks!
I feel good today so I'm going try a two mile walk :)

Becky has been doing a three mile walk everyday. (I saw her jog a whole block for the first time in 37 years!!) Her weight finally dropped to 199 lbs.!!She has lost over 190 Lbs. in the last year and six months!! :applause:

Fenlason, Hope you get feeling better soon!

Miriam, Thanks! What are you trying to catch when you go fishing? Opening day for trout is the last weekend in April. We will be at Dam Gathering at Lake Shasta. I can hardly wait to get my line in!!

 I am hoping to catch what is biting. I have caught 3 trout in my lifetime. Everyone around me can catch them and not me. They know I will eat them. Early in the season we go after the bass and blue gills. The kids and I really love to get a fish fry with blue gill. We do look for crappie but most places around that have crappie you need a boat or to own property with a good dock.

Truth is I just like to fish and don't really care what is biting.

Thank you Scott... We are slowly recovering from our colds. Although we are well enough that we have ridden the last 6 days in a row. Although I need a break... we are sort of hoping for rain tomorrow so we can take a day off :D

Scott congrats to your wife... that is GREAT  I hope your gout is better soon. That stuff really sucks.. :(

I am all better now!! :) :)

I did my two mile walk Thursday and Friday.

Becky walked two miles and rode the stationary bike for 30 min. everyday. :) :)

Today it was in the 90s,so we loaded the bikes in the truck and headed to Newport Beach. We had a blast riding at the beach all day!! 8) 8)

I've been on an exercise/diet program for about 6 months now (previous to this, I mostly worked on 12 oz. curls). The company I work for hired a private trainer for us lucky folk in management, and we each got 2 hours a week working with him. He focused on flexibility and overall fitness, and made nutrition recommendations as well. Not grossly overweight, I did manage to lose 25 lbs., and 6" off of my waist. We finally had to get rid of the trainer due to the economy, but we all still work out 3 days a week. My sessions are one hour, and are a mix of yoga, cardio, and strength training. We have a nice little gym at work, with various weight machines and a treadmill. It's still a nice perk, since I get to work out during working hours. My goal (aside from looking and feeling better) is to be strong enough to build my own house in the next couple years on our rural acreage in upstate SC. At 55, I need to be in top shape to realize this goal, so I keep on keepin' on. My recent physical was excellent, with all of my blood work being normal, and overall cholesterol was 172, down about 30 points since last year.

Ok, I'm gonna crawl in...I've lost 24 lbs. since Feb. 3. I was exercising and riding but I have slowed down the last two weeks due to being just plain lazy. I do walk every night but not far enough. I've totally changed my eating lifestyle and the weight started coming off. I have a realistic goal of one year to be back to a size I feel good about. "Willpower will make me skinny"! I gotta keep telling myself that.
