Found----12v/110v light

Postby Nitetimes » Wed May 06, 2009 12:19 am

Pulled these out of an old Starcraft trailer

Not the best looking light in my opinion

But....notice the 2 switches...hmmm why is one black and one white??
Image

Because one is a 12v switch and the other is a 110v switch, can you guess which one is which??? 8)

This is the end of one of those bulbs, it's really hard to get a picture of it, I can barely read it. But it says 25w 12v. Don't know if they still make these, there's no name on it I can find.

Rich
I used to get those 12v bulbs at an auto parts place (Pep Boys).
They should still be around.

I was going to make a 12v/110v light for in the Scotty out of a 2 bulb bath fixture.

That was before my big goof on the kitchen cabinets.

Happy Trails

I made mine !

When I installed my switches I used rotary for the dc and toggle switches for the ac. Even in the dark by feel you can tell which light you are about to turn on or off

I bet Len is right, I used to get them for 12V drop lights at the NAPA store. Nice find Rich. My old Wilderness TT has those type of lights, just a different and even less attractive style.

Kinda figured someone would know where to find them, just had to show that there was such an animal. I'd sell all 3 of the cause I'll likely never use them. They do need cleaned up and paint. 8)

Len, got a question....does anyone on this end of the state carry that white rubber roofing and all it's accouterments? I'd like to try to get that on before Gettysburg.
