JUST GOT MY TEARDROP ...NEED HELP

Just got my teardrop,think it is the coolest,it is complete roller no interior was used for a clothing promotion,so I'm lookin' 4 ideas gotta B lite as gonna tow it W/my Corvette gonna use when going racing and definately going camping any ideas how to outfit it. gonna take only what needed emphasis on weight,bed ;air mattress whats good & not too much $$$cooking ,small portable propane stove(disposable bottles)need suggestion on all else what I absolute need what can do without.anybody know where I can get a hitch????Remember can put very little in car and can't tow heavy trailer.as much as I luv wood a big NO NO too heavy all plastic or aluminum.Thanks,PS can't wait to get on road if this combo will show the dirversity and uniqueness of the teardrop.THANKS TO ALL........KENNY...(rrripit)

Kenny, you obviously need to keep it light, and there are some of us on here that are in the "light and simple" camp. Then, there are those who have miniature homes on wheels. Both are great in there own ways, but towing with a vette, you better keep it light and simple.

Post some pictures, so we know what you are starting with.

And, spend some time reading other threads.

And finally, try to get to a teardrop gathering. You'll pick up more ideas at one gathering than you can find on the forum in a month or reading.

First of all, Kenny, welcome to the forum. Now don't get the mistaken idea that building a woody would make it too heavy, Oh Contrare! I have a 4x8 little woody that is so light I can lift a tire off of the ground with these 76 year old muscles. My 4 banger camry has hauled it up and over the mountains all the way to Wisconsin. If you build light, (3/8" floor, 1/4" side walls and 1/8" roof and cabinetry, It'll pull like a dream. Many of those aluminum rigs you see have 3/4" plywood hidden beneath the alum. I have always felt that a full blown steel frame is just extra weight, since a simple Harbor Freight frame may weigh over 200 lbs. Just my 2 cents, which many may not agree with. Build light, you won't regret it.

First of all thank UUUU all 4 the friendly response kinda new to computers as soon as I figure out how to post pics. and if I can use the camera I already own I will 4 now I'll see if I can get my grandson(I'm really not that old) to help me.But all in all not really much to see it's all alum,walls floor frame no insul. no wood so I got a blank sheet of paper to work with.But plans 4 outside are polish exterior to mirror finish and some type of stripe to match the fire engine red of the car the swoopy shape of the vette and likewise swoopy shape of the teardrop should look pretty cool going down the road,and bring awareness to how cool these little trailers are.I have prior exp. w/RV's was mechanic/shop foreman 4 one of metro NY biggest RV dealers back in the 1970's. plan is to do outside first reason:to stay motivated will try to get in some before pics. than finish pics.Will post as soon as possible ......STAY TUNED....KENNY

If you don't own a digital camera a normal (boy am I getting old) one will work and you can get a CD made at most photo places. Your grandson can help from there.
