Well, my plan is to paint it. I have a color scheme worked out that I really like, and since my TD will be stored in a garage when not in use, I think I can get away with paint.

With man it is impossible - but with the dog and his wonderous design- all things are possible (with the build of course) With a setup like that, I feel like I should leave a tip at the bar :thumbsup:

It will work with my car, but the car is not the driving force. I like the color scheme on it's own.

Below is a very loose representation of what I'm going for, which is a very earthy color scheme. I want a rustic sort of khaki look.

The main body will be the green/brown khaki paint with a flat finish. The frame is a speckled creme color with brownish specks in it. Some of the frame, and the wheels and a few accents will be in flat black.

That's a nice color scheme. Kinda reminds me of the Harleys that came out a few years ago, with the soft retro colors. Dog, is that you in those pics? I always pictured you to look a little older! ;)

Lovin' this thread and enjoyin' your build CD! You are making great progress! Isn't it true that the first 80% goes fast and then the finishing slows you down...that's where we're at!

Well, it is for me. Especially since I am self employed, and business sucks right now. My doors are going to cost me about 600 bucks with shipping. I don't want to close in the roof until the doors are installed. I also promised myself I'd pay for this build as I go -- no building on the credit cards.

For people who do really sophisticated builds with fine cabinetry and all that, I imagine the last 20 percent goes slow for them because the work requires more precision.

Well, I'm going to my 30-year high school reunion next month, so I'm not a puppy. Hopefully you thought I was older due to the wisdom of my posts, but I somehow have my doubts about that.
