Midget for sale

Postby r2bworthy » Mon Apr 06, 2009 1:30 pm

For sale, one Midget I think was built in the late forties. It is almost identical to the plans post on this site, with the exception that it is alumnium clad. The axle and wheels are from an old Chevy. It lived most of its life in a shed. It needs a little TLC but could be functional with very little work. I am asking $2000.00 or a reasonable offer. If you go to Vintage Plans and look at the Midget, the interior is identical with the exception of the cabnets in the pop-up kitchen. Thanks for looking.

I have dropped the price to $1500.00 cash. A good deal for the money.

It looks like you have a sink. How many gallons does it hold? Do you have grey water tanks? Does it have an built in Icebox? Is it towable or should someone bring a trailer?

In answer to your questions, the sink is about 2 gallons, has a hand pump faucet (very old but works), and the fresh water is about 10 gallons. There is no gray water tank. The sink drains onto the ground. There is an icebox, it has about a 5 gallon capacity. And finally, it is towable although the tires are quite old. The rims are older style 6-lug Chevy wheels. Most any of the older Chevy car (pre-55) or pickup (pre-69) wheels will fit. I may even have some I will throw in if you want them. I have towed this trailer before and it trails very nicely behind an S-10 Chevy pickup.

Could you post photos?

What length is the interior. Hubby is 6'2". Is there enough length for him?

What does it weigh?
