Had lots of fun, just didn't feel right for me because I didn't have my streetrod with me but still great to get out and check things out. I also did a little geo casheing along the way.
Very cool pics!

Thanks for the memories!
I was just looking at my pics of the same route (Seligman, Hackberry, Kingman and Oatman) back in '94 when I had my '63 Fairlane 2 dr hardtop... *sigh*
That car was totalled by someone else... and now I have my Ford Focus. The Focus is a great lil' car... but it doesn't have 385 HP or that early '60s atomic age/jet age styling.
If I can get to a scanner, I'll post a couple of pics if anyone's interested, seeing how the thread title contains the words Route 66.
:-)~ I've got pics of the car in front of what is now that Cool Springs stop; it was the ruins of an old gas station back then, but the two rock columns and one low rock wall still stood. I wanted to buy the plot. I'm glad someone else did! It's a beautiful location, if a lil off the beaten path.
I almost bought my stepbrother's fibreglass-bodied, crank-up camp trailer years ago to tow with the Fairlane... but the trailer need way more tlc than I had space to do it in. That would've been a bitchin' combo 'cause the trailer when retracted had the same height as the trunk of the Fairlane... the trailer's wheel arch detail matched the car's rear fenderlines and the trailer had almost the same kind of taillights as the car...
Anyhoo...
