C & C,

Welcome to the group! Are you building a teardrop, buying one, or thinking it over? Whatever the case, you'll love camping in one!
I hope to get up your way with ours someday. My wife has never seen Niagara Falls, and we would like to take the teardrop there for a camping trip.

Thanks Sam, we are in the process of our own build. I'm having a great time with it and the Mouse "Carlene" is actually getting a bit excited seeing it take shape. It’s been a joint effort in design to acquire what we want. Photos to come via hyperlink in the near future. This has been a great site for all the technical question and we appreciate everyone’s hard work.

Hey C & C,

Welcome to the forum.

Art eh? Tell me what kind of art you are thinking about...

Woodies with Inartia?

Alum with decals?

Profiles as an art form?

Mike...
The quality is remembered long after the price is forgotten, so build your teardrop with the best materials...

Thanks folks. Well Mike, there will be no spinning motors or complex hydorlic systems. Going for a wood shell with traditional profiles just a little bigger to fill the needs of the family. A kind of base for a group of us to rely on while on a trip or outing or just for the two of us to wander about in relative comfort. Goal for the year is to get it skined, wired, and watertight before winter. Don’t have a building to keep her in at this time. Then we can work on finishing up interior, hardware, and other creature comforts that fit the purpose of the build. Art? Some of the rigs I've seen??? Beautiful, ya,"art. :applause: Our platform is a 7x14 with 3500lbs axle. Ya it’s bigger and I may lose some effiencey but plan to maximize on supporting larger groups
