I dont think the vent could be ready when there is no inside wiring, at all. Right now and for our big trip, I'm thinking that I like it like that. Simple.
I just called Little Guys about the wrong mattress problem and I'm getting that fixed and think we will get the optional receiver tube to mount a small hitch haul. Space and packing will be at a premium. Our old philosophy was, "Do ya think we'll need it? Take it!"

My Little Guy was wired for a vent fan. It was in the ceiling cavity, but not hooked up. Call the Little Guy customer service line, or send them an email. They will tell you where to find it.

I got 26.4 mpg on the way home with it. (scan gauge)
Vibe will get low 30's without. It has AWD too! Love it.
The Vibe is wife's car, I been driving a crap box geo meto 4cyl that gets about the same mileage as her vibe!
The wife and I were out working on the new teardrop camper this evening and I told her I'm still not totally convinced about taking the new rig on our planed trip to Alaska. We also have a truck camper that we love and use all the time.
OK, hears my reasons: 1. We would have to pack very light with the new rig,
2. There is no room to change clothes, cant stand up in it.
3. Truck camper is proven to us, don't want to take a large trip with a unknown rig.
4. The Vibe would save us probably $1000 in fuel, but I think we would be a LOT more comfortable in the truck camper. How many chances do you get to go to Alaska?
She agreed! Still not sure..... Waiting on passport and stuff, so we still have time to decide.

With the Little Guys, how do you keep everything from sliding around? I bought some sticky rubberized mat liner stuff today. I couldn't try it out. I'm having a receiver tube welded on. Three of them actually, one in back and two up front.
They gave me the wrong mattress, to big, so we cut it down and are having somebody sew it back up for us. I replaced the cracked vent cover yesterday. For a new 2006 I have had to do a LOT already! Oh yea, we had a tranny cooler installed on the Vibe and got the brakes checked. Im going to do a synthetic oil change right before we leave,... should be good for a 8000+ mile trip eh?
We are waiting for our passports, hope they get here on time. We still got some time before we go. I'm going to be a little vague about announcing when we leave. Dont want to tell all the bad guys we aren't home.
Im also thinking that I need a mattress foam pad to give a little more cushion. Seems like the mattress needs to be built up a little just to get in and out of the door better. Anybody else do that?
Im also on the lookout for some small shelves or hooks to set things on when we are hanging out inside the camper. Haven t found what Im looking for yet. Something big enough to set a ceramic heater on if we find a campground with power on a chilly night. Can you screw things into the inside walls, how thick are they?

I agree on the mattress foam. I have a 17" mattress at home and the 4" TD one is not doin' it for me. I bought a futon mattress yesterday off craigslist for $80 and put it on top of the mattress. It slept like a dream last night. It makes it harder to get your head in and out the dorr because it raises you up a couple inches but easier on the legs getting out. My Silver Shadow cut into my legs as I got in and out. Problems solved.

If that box said "Mr. Stinky Porta-potty" on the back, no one would tailgate you.

Not ever.
