Well I'm new by default, I just demoed a 67 serro scotty highland and now have a trailer to work with. I didn't want it but a friend got it as it was abandoned. He couldn't get a Colorado title. The real only way to get a title is build a trailer. More later but have a few ideas and can run them past you folks. Send a pick as well. Off for dinner, Nice to meet you!!!!! :)

Hi Miriam, Thanks for the welcome. I don't know what type it will be, I like the look of the Grumman and the way the tires are half under the chassis, more than likely it will be give and take on what I can do with the chassis and the axle. Rather not move the axle but maybe. I have it down to the floor I'll know more when it's off. Let me see.

I'm in Silverthorne Colorado, the Mountains.

You are gonna scrap out a Scotty :x

Don't let anyone else know !

Just tell them you found the frame in a field somewhere!

Seriously though the Scotties are highly prized and if it is in reasonable shape get an attorney to file for abandoned title or what ever they call it. I did this once for a vintage Whitley house car. It was just too good to scrap. I think it cost me $150.00 but that was 20 years ago too.

Oh by the way welcome to the obsession

Well, it was trash and rotted, would need a complete rebuild anyway, so it's not to late for a scotty , the person who acquired it didn't have the skills for a rebuild. I think it was a nice trailer and salvaged all the scotty stuff. I don't want to pull around a big camper, I'm more mobile, and while camping in Glacier National Park a few summers ago, an old teardrop came in and the next morning they pulled out, no tear down or packing, I've been in love with them every since. If you need scotty parts I have a few.
