Jeremy, welcome fellow carpenter, you have come to the right place. You'll hve no trouble at all building a teardrop trailer. Remember, take pics, and ask questions if you have 'em.
Good luck on your build............Roly 8)

Hi Jeremy :)

Welcome aboard

Have fun and remember to post pic for Aunti M, she loves the pictures.

There will be a gathering in Cloudcroft in July. Check it out in the South Central Section. It's a good place to gawk at others, Teardrops from all over the US.

Pretty soon there will be enough of us from NM to make up our own Tearjerkers chapter.

Welcome to the group! I look forward to your pictures. Also you live near one of my favorite campgrounds at Aqua Pedra (Campground). It is a beautiful place especially the hike up the nearby mountain. I have been up there twice with the windsong TD.

Hi Jeremy,

Looks like the "meet and greet" thread is going well

Lottsa friendly tiny trailer enthusiasts in the Land of Enchantment.

Hope to get there one of these days for a gathering in the not too distant future. We went to the Morphy Lake campground over by Mora last spring and had a great time.

Jeremy .... a real new century camper if you're on a laptop in a tent! haha

You'll find this forum is the best place for information, questions, pictures, bragging... but also some terrific camping friends.

My best advice is first to look at YOUR type of camping -- I imagine where you live you have to think about pulling up steep grades, off roads, how much electric if any to use ...
and secondly, I'd encourage you to not be shy and seek out somewhere close to look at someone's teardrop in person ! You need to pick up the hitch, lay inside , raise the hatch, ... seeing one in person especially at the campground and set up will show you the best things about a teardrop.

Several of us were at Palo Duro Canyon in May and there's Cloudcroft in July ... we have teardroppers in Colorado too so check that section .

Good luck !

Julie
