STOP light

Postby Mike_La » Mon Jun 08, 2009 7:18 pm

I'm sure I've seen this before through a link in the forum.

I'm looking for a STOP light to use as a (collision avoidance) third brake light. It looks similar to the photo below, but has a bezel(chrome or black) around it, with the word STOP.

Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks,
Mike

Try this.

http://www.lickscycles.com/catalog/prod ... ts_id=1006

It is for a model "A" but it has stop embossed in the lens.

For a trailer that has not previously had a third brake light, you may need a logic module. The companies Bargman and Command make them. The module is needed only if the the trailer brake and turn signals are combined, as is the case with my trailer. The logic module powers the third brake light only if both of the brake light/turn signals are on, so the third brake light does not flash with either turn signal. This link explains it better than I can.

Thanks Bill.

My truck is already set up with the Center High Mounted Stop Lamp (CHMSL) power feed wiring.
I'll tap into it.

See PDF below.
