day 7
not much done again today! still waiting for the suspension parts
cut holes for airvents on both sides. could really do with a small opening window if anyone knows of one. ive no breakers yards within 50mile of me to go look through. (uk only please)
gave it another coat of paint (going to keep coating it till i use it all up)
decided on a colour for the two tone, what do you think!

lol just found my tape measure while checking this pic out, on the window sill behind the trailer, ive been looking for it for days...lol

Cheery, that. I like it! It's very "Monaco", or, summer oceanside resort-ish.

Now stitch up a yellow-with-royal-blue-and-white striped awning and you'll be set.

heres an up date on the build, works been a bit slower and i had a trip to get some metal removed from my eye!!

chassis mounted to the body, wheels on, lights on and working, more paint on, door handle, lock, hinges on and working. only a few more small jobs to do to get it rough'd up ready for fridays trip, ill have to sort out the inside when i get back but at least ill have a good idea what it needs by then!
just need to finish the electrics on the car, ive made a towbar for it and gave the trailer i quick test run up the road to see if the car can manage it. no problem!

pic's to follow!

WOW  WOW  WOW  You certainly don't waste any time do you! Here's me still buggering about with which profile to use and you're all finished! Looks like you got a really neat curve on that edge moulding - which UK supplier did you use?

Very nice job - especially impressive in view of the quick build :applause:

cheers

Wasn't it less than 3 weeks ago you started this thread? I guess you haven't heard about 'Teardrop Time' eh :)

Nice build and TV.

Not three weeks. It was 16 days ago that he was discussing his needs and wants in a design. Or at least that was the day he brought home the first load of wood!

Awesome!! Would like to see a :pictures: with it hooked up to the tow vehicle. :applause:

I think it may be a little dark inside without a window; but I do remember it being stated that it was going to get non-opening windows, so I guess all will be well in the end.

Enjoy it!!

thanks guy's got the edging alloy from http://www.servicemetals.co.uk/jbl/jbl.htm in gateshead.
ill fit windows when i find some cheap secondhand ones from a horse box or something. if it gets to hot in the meantime i'll just have to leave to door oper a bit!
still got some trim to make for the outside and mudgaurds also. jobs to do on the inside still are to fit a removable panal in the floor for sitting line the inside with hardboard, foam for a mattress and get it trimmed and make a drop down table for the inside (may use the removable floor panal as the table. ive another month till my next car show after the weekend so should get all them things sorted plus what ever i discover needs to be altered if any after my weekend trip on friday

i was thinking of adding an awning for sitting/ cooking under if the weather turned bad we'll see how it goes
