Maiden Voyage of 2009 6 Wide Little Guy

Postby dobbur23 » Tue Jun 09, 2009 7:55 pm

We just picked up our Lil Guy this weekend and pulled it over a 1000 miles back home through Ohio, Pennsylvania, West Virginia, Virginia, Tennessee, Georgia, and finally back into Alabama. Needless to say we love it already and camped in Pennsylvania (Raccoon Creek SP) and Tennessee (Warriors Path SP) on the way home. Here are a few pics for everybody to see our newest addiction. I mean addition!

Congrats!

It looks great with your SUV, the graphics colors are perfect.

Did you even feel it when you were towing?

Did you get a lot of questions from other campers?

 :applause:

Congrats on your new toy! Happy to hear your first trip out was a safe one. 1,000 miles WOW! That definately sounds like a field test to me

Looks sharp ! Glad you like it , and you've already broken it in !

One note: when you camp you'll notice you have plenty of room, and don't need to park way back over the "curb" ... you could have pulled forward another 4 feet and not had to stand in the grass. just fyi

And if you got lots of looks and questions ( and you will!) consider making or getting some snazzy little "business" cards to pass out ... I wouldn't put your address or phone, but maybe your email address, this website address, the little guy website, etc. People like that and it promotes this forum . www,vistaprint.com has some cool ones.

Happy camping!
Julie

Thanks to you all. Like I said we are loving it and we have already had tons of questions about what it is , where can I get one, does it pop up?, etc.

The business card idea is definitely not a bad one OKjewel.

The trailer pulled great and the only time I knew it was even back there is when we hit construction zones and the roads were really rough. I pulled it at speeds as high as 80 mph with no problems at all. Gas mileage seemed to be affected a little but nothing major. (Alot of that probably had to do with my rate of speed!)
My wife and I plan on doing alot of cross country trips with our little guy and this was definitely a good field test like Outlaw said. I was very impressed with the ease of towing and I love the fact the tongue weight is nothing. My wife can easily unhook the td and push it where ever she wants it go with no problem.
So far my favorite thing is the fact that I can set camp up in less than 5 minutes and break camp in the same amount of time. That alone is worth the price!

Congrats Okie! We would have probably went with the 5 wide but we have a great dane that weighs about 150 lbs who will be camping with us so we opted for the 6 wide.

Hope you have great weather this weekend. We are planning on going out this weekend to if everything falls into place.
