trailer

Hello all. I have an older ( 1989) viking pop-up trailer I stripped down to the frame. Would this be a good candidate for a trailer. Now keep in mind this is a 11ft long x 6 1/2 ft wide (usable area) frame.

Thanks,
G

If the metal is sound and there are no defects in the running gear I certainly can't see why not. 11 Ft is a bit big for a tear but once you decide on a design the frame could be shortened or modified by a competent weldor.

This would be a really good size for a Shasta-lookalike standup trailer - more of a conventional and less of a teardrop. Do a search on here for the Powder Puff - I believe that is built on a retired pop-up as well!.

I built my frame 6'6"x12' for my standy tear. I have some pics in my album. I'll post some completed pics when I get a new camera, my old one bit the dust. Good luck with your build. William
