here's some pic's from my first camp out in the teardrop only thing i thought of needing for the next one is a mattress/bed as the floor was a bit hard sleeping on carpet and i need to make a box with a lid that will fit through the door of the teardrop and will also fit under the trailer. i can store a lot of the camping gear in it and when on site remove it from inside and slide it under the trailer out of the way!

Very Nice!!! The way you have camp set up, nobody would even begin to guess you only finished the trailer a week ago!!!

I like your portable wall/ wind break/ space de-lineator (whatever you call it).

wind break! we call them, need to buy a new one as ive not used it for years. when removing it from the shed it had sat in for 10 or so years we found that the wood poles had woodworm!!! not a good idea to keep them in my new wooden trailer...lol
must have burn't myself out building the TD for the event at the weekend as i cant face doing any more work on it at the moment... couple of days off wont do any harm

didnt build a galley in this one it just has a shelf inside, its just a strip of alloy to hide/seal the join in the roof sections you can see in the photo.

no idea who owns what car, they were just random shots taken at the camp site

Sqweaka - between you and jackdaw, today has unhinged my ideas. It's back to clean paper. How much does you trailer weigh? Are you comfortable that the steel chassis is fully adequate? Leaf springs or something else?

As an aside, it'd look pretty good behind my old Anglia 105e (hi compression version, WITH the dome light and fuel gauge!!), but, alas, "Junior" has gone to his greater rewards.

yep im happy with the chassis the unladen weight of the teardrop is only 120kg (265 pounds) or 18 3/4 stone
so there are'nt to many demands on its strenth, if there is a weak point it will be the tounge area and i could eay beef it up if it becomes a problem but i dont think there will be a need to do that!

got the chance of a cheep tunnal tent so made an awning with extra sleeping area out of it instead of making a more trad style of awning as i had planned
ive also had a mattress/seat made from 4 bits of foam for the inside
pic's were taken during mock up and it fits a bit better now its trimmed properly

sqweaka, I'm building a Tear very similar to yours to tow with the Goldwing. I've got the walls up and am trying to decide on the material to use for the roof (luan, baltic birch, hardboard, etc.)

What material did you use for your roof?
