hi!

I've been a ''looker'' for the past 4 years now, almost started a build one or two years ago , but was not ready ( i was working like crazy )

but this time!!! the build begins tomorow , since i dont have alot of work this summer , because of the recession and all...

so i'm building the poor man tear

already have some steel from past project ( i'm a welder fabricator for a large semi-trailer company )

i'll keep you posted, take alot of pics ;)

Hello, BDC, welcome to the forum. So, you already know how helpful the folks on this board are, now all you have to do is take advantage of their experinces. Being a welder, your trailer frame shouldn't be a problem at all. Then comes the decisions: What length, width, height, shape, exterior material, galley layout, which bells and whistles, etc.

Those of us who are builders, have all been where you are, and lots of pics are available right here. I suggest you try to connect with a fellow Canadaian TD owner, so you can check some teardrops up close. One look-see is worth a bunch of ideas and probably eliminate some mistakes. So, good luck on your build, take pics, and remember, if you need some advice, or can share some welding tips, just post it on the board.
Roly ;)

Terry and Sly grew up in Montreal/ Rive Sud(Brossard) so folks from La belle Province are always welcome in our house. We have sold a number of Taddy's in Quebec and like most Quebecoise they travel quite extensively. I still remember the Grand Prix in Trois Riviere with the Formula Atlantic and GilleVillenuve winning. Long time ago but still a great memory :applause:
