my awesome 13-year-old daughter is quite an artist and has recently started sewing. for father's day she made me the cutest TD and VW tow vehicle i've ever seen!

That is awesome ... especially at 13 (the age when most fathers become less relevant) ... nice job to both of you for the sewing and the great kid!

Victoria did a wonderful job on that, what a thoughtful Father's Day gift.

That's wonderful, you have a fabric artist! She could take orders for them. What a treasure. :applause:

Miguel, that is AWESOME! Happy Fathers' Day to you too! :P It says an awful lot about how close your family is... :beautiful:

Victoria, you have talent and vision! Well done, girl!

Perhaps you should start a teardrop interior design business? Or, at least a teardrop fabric consulting biz as fireaunt has alluded to! ...even a simple line of pillows would probably sell!

That is beyond adorable. You are a lucky guy, but you don't need anybody else to validate that :)

I would absolutely commission one of those. She could name her price as I would be proud to have such a creative piece on the road with us. I hear the start of a college fund

That's so sweet!

And sounds like she has a burgeoning business in teardrop decor.

on my behalf, thank you for the kudos about being a good dad. that is the greatest compliment i could ever receive. i measure my success by the happiness of my family...not material happiness, rather, emotional happiness. thank you!

and on behalf of victoria, "Thank you" and "Cool! I'd ba happy to make some!" :)

she would be happy to make TD plush toys (like the one she made for me) and pillows for anyone who would like one. you can't tell in the picture, but the one she made for me is about 9" long, 6" high, 4" wide. it's 3-dimensional with tires on both sides, a hitch that attaches to the tow vehicle with a button, and a license plate that she says she can customize.

thanks again,
miguel
