I'm baaaaaaaaaack

...well it was sure an interesting few days....first off the evacuation of the coast pushed more people thru here than Katrina did...no gas...no groceries Thurs. Fri. Sat.
The storm slammed us pretty good Saturday, we lost electricity 7:30 Sat morning and it stayed off at my place until 8:00PM Sun...just got cable(broadband) back this(Monday) evening...top wind gusts that I heard off here were in the 70/75mph range with strong winds until late Sat nite...we also got almost 10 in. of rain in 24 hrs.
Lotssa wind damage around, numerous limbs and trees down, we had no damage to my place...just a yard full of limbs, my Mom had a large limb take her service line, cable and phone out...service and phone recconected today...one of my best friends had a very large oak tree fall on his trailer wiping it out another acquaintance had a tree fall on and total his pickup...nobody hurt that I knew...we were lucky there. I am sure glad I live as far from the coast as I do...things were bad enough as it was...thanks for the emails asking how I was doin'

We were worried about ya.

I called Charles & Linda (& their daughter) tonight and they are still without power. Linda said they were going to sleep at Charles' office tonight. They do have water, which is better than some of their friends.

...thanks for all the well wishes...that is one of the things that make this forum so great and TD'ers such a fantastic bunch. I hope and pray that all of our other TD friends that were in the path of this storm made it out as well as I did
