More waiting...

Postby MCI1969 » Thu Jun 25, 2009 12:11 pm

Just called in on the axle (torflex #9), lead time... 4 weeks. I guess I have plenty of time to layout, measure, remeasure, remeasure and remeasure the frame (maybe a little welding :R ). I wanted a winter project anyway.
I did it, so you wouldn't have to...

Your teardrop design can only benefit from long delays in building... at least that's what I'm hoping as I agonize over my particular delay.

For example... if you can continue to buld your tear and have the axle the LAST thing you postition and install, you can achieve the OPTIMUM tongue weight desired! Now, I dunno how practical that is... 'cause it seems that one'd be welding then on their back... then putting out a big fire... Ok. ...nevermind.

Anyhoo...

Another benefit to having to wait is that one can continue to read from the wealth of ideas and trailer features already posted on this fine site.

Check through sdtripper2's Index, for example, and the Vintage Plans for more ideas.

At least she's into it.
