Is it hot out here, or is it just me?

It's 107 in the backyard right now and expected to get to 108 today. I'll bet it'll be at least 110 by 4:00 PM. Supposed to be triple digits all week. :fan:

Awww...Pretty, Kevin! Thanks for sharing even if it does feel like you're rubbing it in! :)

You may have cooler temperatures in Eureka; but, you live in Earthquake Heaven! I'll take a couple weeks of triple digits each summer over that. I can just lie low and stay outa the garage until the heat wave moves on.

My friend from Juneau is in Austin right now, and one her way to Dallas today. She flies back to Juneau tomorrow. I wish she was on my porch right now so I could observe her -- all in the name of science, of course.

I was wondering if she would be at the salmon bake tomorrow...they have an end-of-the-season fund raiser for Perserverance Theater entitled :M "Salmon Enchanted Evening" :M :M

No, she is at the Seattle Airport now, waiting to fly to Juneau. She's mad that she'll miss it. She's been working there for years evenings.

Hate to rub it in 'dog... I feel your pain, truly !!!!

We've had three digit temps on and off this week, but then had a miraculous COLD FRONT come thru last night and some strange stuff fell from the sky about 4 am... I woke up to hear dripping outside the window... then the slurping sound from the ground outside. It was less than an inch of rain, but welcome

I passed a store this afternoon and it said 88* ... I was surprised... you can tell it's a bit cooler but still hot , but 88* ????
Some things are way over my head !! ...but it keeps me looking UP!

In the North Ga. Mountains. But . . .

You have to put on Scuba gear outside the humidity is so high.

Still quite pleasant

 We got up to 88* also but had a wonderful cool breeze most of the day. Going down to 60* tonight and up to 90* tomorrow.........hope that doesn't make for some wild storms.

I knocked off work when it hit 102 in the barn. Heat stroke weather. In my barn, I know when the temperature has hit 95--the metal starts moving and creaking and popping. At 97 it goes silent. At 103 I can hear the whispers of my ancestors . . . wait--that's the scotch talking. You can hear scotch talking?

Okay--maybe I didn't stop working soon enough.
Still graced with two eyes and ten fingers (due in no small part to luck!).

Just when you think a problem is solved, an uglier result replaces it.

I was camping over the weekend in 100 degree weather. Who knew it would be this hot when we made the plans in late April!

However, my petcool kept me and the dogs nice and chilly. I actually had to dial it back from the coldest setting so I wouldn't freeze to death. I even used a lightweight quilt at night.

I have the door template for my Silver Shadow for the petcool, but am looking at doing the adaption for the vent cover that IndyMatt is using for his petcool.

A cold front has arrived here and while it is still hot, the humidity levels have dropped considerably.

We got a break in the temperatures, today. A nice storm gave us much needed rain, and it is mostly cloudy now, and in the low 80s. What a relief. :phew:

I'd like to see some of that rain. Looks like the temp has topped out at 104 so far today.
