About two months ago a lady friend and I rode the motorcycles out to go tent camping.
And then it rained.
We suffered through two days of a little bitty kids tent covered with my tarp.
On the way home (in the pouring rain) I looked over and saw this tiny little trailer. I didn't know what it was or who makes them, but it was cute and my Vmax could pull one of those tiny things with no problem.

That's when I found ya'lls little spot on the web. The bug bit me and I wanted one, but I'd get around to it.

Two weeks ago, we were camping at the Buffalo National River when a storm came through.
After a long night of broken tent poles (yes my tent has aluminum poles) pulled spikes and a couple of gallons of water standing in the bottom of the tent, I decided that enough was enough.
I lurked, learned, and listened.
That made it worse cause now I need two of them. One for Deer Camp, and one for the scooter.

I've already started my deer camp/ truck pulled camper and will be starting the motorcycle tear this winter.

In other words...
I'm hooked, and I'm going to be here for a while. Name's Joe, nice to meet ya'll.

Okay, my first one isn't a "tear" but it's little.
I'll be posting a build on it soon, but as it stands now...

It's made from an old cabover and a bunch of scrap garage door sections.
Being a deer camp special I decided to name her the "Stumble Inn".

;)
It'll be pretty when it's done. (even though it doesn't look like it now).

Welcome, Joe.

Where were you camping on the Buffalo? Tyler Bend? Buffalo Point?

Welcome Joe ! We've probably all been in similar situations, not necessarily on a motorbike, but got sick of the wet tents and hauling everything out of the car to set up at camp. You'll DEFINITELY appreciate the teardrop or small camping trailer , while still "roughing" it .

What part of the country are you in ? Look for future gatherings, we have a couple of good ones coming up in Kansas and Louisiana , well, all over the South Central really .

Happy Camping!

Julie

"I lurked, learned and listened", hey Joe, that's great. Truer words should never be spoken on this board. Good move on your part, gettin' out of that tent. Looks like you have been bitten badly. Enjoy your new toys and, oh yes, welcome to the forum.

I was at South Maumee when the storm got us. I'm not fond of populated camps, I prefer the off the beaten path spots for a little rest and relaxation.

Thanks for the welcome all. This ones my learning curve. My little one will be the one I have to keep the weight down on.
