I really like the door ( I've been "into" doors lately) nice job on the windows, when this came out did it have the bigger windows like you put in or did it have the smaller jalousies at the top only?

Thanks Greg

This thing is a real Mutt. It had the small jalousies originally but thats where the Tree entered and exited.

They were pretty much trashed. The new ones are out of a later 70's Scotty. The 2 side windows are original.

As for the door

I just wasn't "Cool enough" anymore to use it. The door frame was fine, a buddy of mine gave me the window and I actually made the door out of the packing crate that the windows came in. (If you knew the guy I got the windows from the crate was a piece of furniture) That and a little fancy Trim Brake work.

It could be done shortly but I'm taking a brake.

I have one more coat of semi-gloss paint to do inside...but I hate painting so much I just can't get my self motivated.

A little trim work, curtains, seat covers and a good detail cleaning and I'm ready to go.

I'm going to fabricate a rear bumper like the original, but that can wait.

Happy Trails

Len

A little color this week.

Some times you can take a picture through a screen...and some times ya can't.

I still have to build some valances over the windows.

The front may be a little 4" wide thing that I can put Knick Knacks on but the back will be a full 12" shelf...For Stuff!

Wow! Len, that's beautiful! You have amazing skill. I like the period color scheme. I can picture it being towed by a 1957-1959 Ford Skyliner retractable hardtop convertible in matching colors!

Well for all intensive purposes all my work on the Scotty is done.

Needs the seat covers, some safety hooks, battery and a few nickle and dime things. But I'm done.

I built the awning & rear bumper (needs end caps) today.

Finished a shelf in the back and valances for both the front and back window.

I'm driving it to work Monday for its "shake down cruise"

I was going to sleep in it tonight, but its down at the Shop and not at home.

Maybe next weekend.

First trip, TearJerkers Liberty Bell Chapters Spring Fling at Codorus State Park. Memorial Day Weekend.

Just a few finished photos.

I'm taking it out again tonight for just a little overnight.

Don't want to drive home after todays 4th of July BBQ....I may have something to drink.
