Any Tears in the Delaware Valley?

Postby Rvankeur » Wed Jul 08, 2009 8:49 am

My husband and I are starting to research buying/building a tear and would love to see some in person.

We currently use either an air mattress in the back of the van, or if we're going for longer - our pop-up which is way too big for us now that the kids aren't interested in camping.

We're in Cherry Hill, NJ.

BTW - this website is one heckuva time sink. I think I lost 2 days in here already this week just looking at the pictures in the Hall of Fame. 8)

Rvankeur,
Yes Im sure lots from your area. If you join the TearJerkers Camping club you will be able to attend many gatherings for your area. I believe you would belong to the Liberty Bell Capter. You can check out Teardrops up close and personal. Plus this is a great group of people. All so friendly and helpful. If you look in the heading above on the last line where it says Other Websites Just click on TearJerkers. Kinda goes hand in hand with Teardrops and Tiny Travel Trailers.
Hope to see you at a gathering.

We're actually heading up 95 to Maine this Saturday for vacation. We've been discussing the possibility (probability) of heading back South on 95 a little early and stopping in CT.

Been spending the week trying to waterproof and clean up water damage to our 2004 Fleetwood (Coleman) popup. Arrrggh. This is what prompted us to once again look at Teardrops. That, and the fact that we use the popup like a teardrop - we don't cook in it, rarely have sat at the table, just sleep in it and cook outside. It IS nice to be able to stand up to change clothes, but I candeal with that one..

Thanks for the welcome. Hopefully we'll see you in CT.

Rose and Ed.
Heres the answer for not being able to stand up to change: Buy a Shower tent. Mine is a small 2 room shower tent. One side for changing clothes other side for the porta potty and porta sink. Teardrop door opens right into changing room side. Got it on sale at Kmart for $50.
Good luck.

Len -
I'll have to show your "standie" to Ed. Not sure what his thoughts there are. We do drive by the airport at least once a week.
