Hi all ! I am not planning a teardrop as I have a Family of 4 and I think it would be hard to accomodate what I am thinking of is a Gear trailer/Chuck wagon . Will I fit in here or am I way off base?

Well I thought I was set on a Gear Hauler untill I found a Home built pop up GT with a folding pop up Mech. Now Im thinking I could build something like that and it would get me through a few years with 2 boys that will be sure to out grow it. I have a question I plan to recycle a Boat trailer the wheel width is just about 4 feet do you all think I could get away wit a 5 foot wide deck? Also it has the 8 " rim NOT 12" But I have another trailer {Harbor frieght ) also 8" and have had no trouble even at highway speeds and a fair anount of weight . I will try to recycle as much as possible as my budget is practically non existent. Will definately be 1 piece at a time.
Oh the change of heart came about when I was thinking this may be able to double as a Bob house for Ice fishing. Any words of wisdom?

There's more than one way to house a family of 4. And whatever design you decide on, there's lots of build information here that you can use.
