The other day, I saw a red truck with black spots pulling a homemade red camper with black spots. (It wasn't Lydia's Ladybug.) Now, there are at least three of you! I guess the ladybug theme is catching on.

Looks like the back end may barely clear the garage door opener. I wonder if you could drive down the road with the back end up and how much of a difference there is with a raised top vs lowered top.

Great looking job on the overall package.

With the back end down, how much space is there between that and the rear bulkhead? I'm thinking it would be a great place to roll up an awning rather than having to setup the ez. You can have supporty polls that would be angled off the back end of the camper. The awning can continue with the red bug effect as well.

We're still out at the campgrounds and having a wonderful time. All the big rig people are stopping by for a look.

Cliffmeister 2000 - The hatch ended up very lightweight - my wife and I could handle the whole piece when we had it off - I'd estimate it about 60 - 70 lbs. Is 8 ft long and a little over 78" wide (just getting under the 80" rule for additional lighting). IF I did it over, I would probably add a set of linear actuators for assisted lift and coolness factor (but I can still add them later) and I would NOT do a compound bow on the exterior curve front end.

RAYVILLAN - We slept very comfortably all night long. This is the third build in which we slept lengthwise and it makes all the difference to us. Our daughter sleeps next to the wall, Mrs Starleen in the middle, and I get the outside edge - that way they can push me off when needed - they mentioned something about snoring???. The bed size is a little over a queen size. With the bed sitting about 13 inches off the floor and with a five inch mattress, we have plenty of headroom and I can even sit up without rubbing my head on the front section (before the front hatch). We initially thought of doing a bed/ dinette thing but decided against it since it gets to be a hassle of making up the bed and putting things away. We usually just sit outside anyways

Jagular7 - that's an optical illusion - the hatch clears the garage door opener by several inches - but will not fit out the garage when extended. I'm sure you could probablly drive down the road with the hatch up, but that will have to be for someone else. I Pull with a JEEP Wrangler and it doesn't make too much of a diffence in milage when I tow or not
