Hello!

Postby coldsolderjoint » Sat Jul 11, 2009 12:51 pm

Hello,

My name is Eddie and I'm from NJ. I used to be a boy scout and really enjoyed camping, however of course at that time, a lean-too was considered a luxury.

I recently realized I have a lot of camping gear which is virtually unused. I still have a coleman stove which was never opened!

Now that I own a truck (06 chevy colorado -3500lb capacity) and a few bucks (not too much).. i figured it would be an excellent idea to build a travel trailer and enjoy a few modern comforts while enjoying camping.

I look forward to tapping into your knowledge on these boards!

Eddie,

Welcome to the forum!

There is certainly a lot of knowledge to be gained here. I spent a lot of time reading (and re-reading) many of the posts before I started my build.

You'll fit right in....you already got an unfired stove sitting in a box. Check out the vintage camping equipment thread! Lots of fun ideas on this forum, draw up your profile and start! Thing is...the more you talk about it, the closer you will get to doing it. Doug

Eddie,
Welcome to the forum. Have you joined the TearJerkers Club yet?
Maybe make some gatherings in the near future and see some Teardrops up close and personal. You dont need a rig just bring your truck you can spend the nite or even just come for the day. Check it out. I think theres a good many Teardroppers in the New Jersey area.
Good Luck to you. :applause:
