Hi all,

Well after much discussion Joan & I will not be coming to the fall Tear Up. Our favorite kayaking event is the following weekend ,and with the cost of gas now days,one tank is easier to afford then three. As much as we wanted to see that beautiful area in the fall,I guess we will have to wait until next year. I have an Aunt & Uncle that lost everything in Gulfport , Mississippi. The family is pooling together money,and clothing to help out,thus the decision not to go. They are staying with another daughter in Alabama,and are safe ,and comfortable. Hopefully we will join you in the spring. You all have fun,and post some pictures

Just an update on the TearDown Oct 7-10...

So far we have 6 trailers / 12 campers...

Anyone else I missed?

Fish Creek closes some of the sites off as the season progresses. Only sites 1-138ish are available by mid October. This is fine as in the fall it is great to be on the eastern side of the ponds which offer fine views of the fall colors, the mountains and the moon!

The best bet for sites will be in the 101-124 range. Since at this time they do not take reservations, you'll be able to arrive and pick out your site. We'll hopefully be arriving early... maybe on the Thursdays ourselves, or early Friday to case out available spots and perhaps leave a note at the front gate to give you the scoop. Would be nice to get us all close/fairly close together.

We are going to try to get to the TearDown. Since we don't have to make reservations, it should make it easier. We went to PEI Cape Breton, and Nova Scotia for 12 days. Had a great time other than the gas was $5.30 a gallon. Glad we didn't have a 36' motorhome. We should arrive sometime Thursday.
Questions from Rick: Should I bring Tequila? Will Kate have her blender? Do you make the margueritas with Triple Sec or Grande Marnier?
Looking forward to seeing everyone.

Hi Rick 'n Peg! Boy you two get around in that Camp-Inn! $5.30 a gal? Really? No worry.. it'll be cheaper in NY.

Now about that Tequila. YES! We haven't been using any triple sec or GM, but we don't have a problem trying that out! I'll be sure to remind Kate to pack the blender. WARNING! I make them strong (Diane and Rick will attest to that)... so good luck!

Darla & Dennis are un-able to make the teardown. We are cutting costs so we can make the Fall Crawl in NC. We have reservations that were made way before all this weather and gas price crap.

HI there. My name is Dave. I am making plans to build my own teardrop and would love the opportunity to meet with you all at Fish Creek to get some ideas and hear some tales. Are reservatons necassary? Are marguritas necassary? lol. See you all then.

We just returned from our first overnighter in our teardrop. We stayed close to home. We went to Verona Beach State Park (1hr away) on the Eastern shore of Onedia Lake. We would love to attend the Fish Creek gathering. We really want to see how the weather will be. If the weather is raining we may try to go to the Liberty Bell Tearjerker gathering in NJ if the weather will be better. Both gatherings will take about the same time to get to.
Do you have an idea of how many teardrops are attending and the sites they have reserved. We would be staying Sunday night only. I'll try to make reservations at Fish Creek tomorrow.

Although Diane and I were looking forward to seeing everyone one last time before winter is upon us, we won't be able to make it to the Teardown. I have some health issues I have to address but should be right as rain for the 2006 Spring Tear-Up.
Steve- I haven't forgot about you, the profile for the Metzendorf is rolled up and ready to go. Any Ideas where I can get a six foot shipping tube? Seems they are a rare commodity in Syracuse. Maybe I'll have to use PVC pipe cut to size.

Sorry to hear that We'll miss you both. Get well soon. Don't go out of your way too much about the profile! But, I get hinges from Grant Whip in pvc pipe. He plugs the ends and sends it UPS. Obviously, I'll cover the costs!
