Applying the last of the graphics - will take some pictures when the clouds clear and the rain stops (thought I'd never say such a thing after the heat wave we've been having). The printable vinyl worked as advertised

I've got a build question for you... Did you, by chance, do anything to keep your hatch from opening too high? What if a gale force wind decides to kick up while your raising the hatch? I'm mildly concerned about my hatch becoming a sail in high winds.

No - Haven't given it much thought - It would have to be VERY strong wind to do that! Once you get the hatch finished and seals applied, you may have some friction added. However, I suspect that a safety chain or strap could be affixed to limit how high the hatch could extend

Agreed, but roofs blow off houses all the time.. I was thinking about a small cable attached somewhere could work. Just thinking...

Use the hold down hand screws in a higher position in the side walls to secure the 'sailing' effect of the hatch. The hatch and rear upper portions of the rear panel would effectively be 'structured' together. There might be some noises in windy conditions due to the tolerances in the latches.

Lifting in high winds would not really smart, however, if you really really needed to lift in windy conditions, you could do it in such a way as to maintain control. Same effect when its pouring rain. Lots of water would affective be blown inward when opening and shutting the hatch. Probably want to keep a wipe towel close to wipe things down.

The ladybug made its appearance at LCGIV! She got her ultimate waterproofing test when we towed her 175 miles in pouring rain all the way to the park. Not even a drop made it inside. All the seals held and absolutely no water penetration. We slept on a NEW foam mattress and stayed quite warm and snug.
