Wanting a Lil Traveler real bad!

Postby kiblerk » Mon Jul 20, 2009 7:36 am

I've been looking at these little travelers for a while now. Yesterday I found one!!! My biggiest issue is convincing my hubby that I will get my money's worth out of this little camper. I think these are just the best and I haven't even got mine yet! Has anyone seen these in the Shenandoah Valley, VA? Hope to meet some of you guys out there soon.

Kiblerk,
Hey they are everywhere. Lol. We built ours in 07 and finished her up in 08. We love camping. We have definitley got our monies worth of it. Once he starts or buys one whatever you are planning to do. Its addictive. My husband wasnt really onboard at first but once he and my brother started the build he was really into it. Now he is so proud when we take it out. People love them.
Good luck,
Marijo and Bill :vroom:
Hope to see you on the road.

Though I'm not in your area, I have a Pleasant Valley Little Traveler, and I love it! Check out pics in my album. I shopped around for quite a while before I purchased, and decided that it was the best deal for my money.
Good luck with whatever you decide, and.....welcome to the forum.

Bring 'er on up to Shenandoah National Park -- odds are you'll run into us there.

And welcome aboard to T&TTT!

Mine's a Little Guy and not a Lil Traveler but the kinship is close.

 :applause:

Welcome aboard. If you attend a teardrop gathering, (walk-ins always invited), you will see first hand what all the excitment is all about. If you can hook up with a local builder/owner, they will be happy to further your interest, and before long, you too, will be a happy teardrop owner. Go for it, and drag the Hubby over and he'll get excited too.

They're nice!

We really like our new Lil Traveler 5 by 8. If you're interested, I started a thread in the "Teardrop Manufacturers" forum, entitled "Lil Traveler Reviews." Some comments and pictures from Fire Lion and others may be interesting to you. The consensus is that it's a nice, well-built trailer.

kiblerk,
We JUST had a teardrop gathering at the Shenandora campground on the July 10-12. The Tearjerker's Old Dominion/Southern Appalachian chapters, we had about 8 trailers in attendence. Nice campground. Tell Hubby once you can't get out of the gas station for showing off your NEW PRIDE AND JOY, you'll be hooked. We had a State Trooper pull us over one time, Just for the 19 min. tour  There on the highway by Staunton and Verona is an rv dealer that has some Lil Guy RT's [reverse trailer profile] for your info. When camping-get use to"I love your little camper, can we get a closer look?"

Go ahead, and buy a little traveler... If it doesn't work out you can always sell it.

If you use it for a year or two, and then sell it, it's not like you lose the entire sales price...

Mike...
The quality is remembered long after the price is forgotten, so build your teardrop with the best materials...

New Owner!

Postby kiblerk » Thu Jul 23, 2009 8:17 pm

Well I am proud to say I am a new owner! I got home a few hours ago and haven't stopped "playing" yet! I LOVE IT! I'm going out this weekend with my daughter and her husband to a local KOA. Can't wait to meet some of you guys. It'll be fun customizing my lil traveler. I appreciate all the comments you've made.

See you guys around!

Congrats, Kay!

You are going to have a blast with your teardrop.

And it will be worth every dime.

There's so much terrific camping out your way. Shenandoah National Park, of course (Big Meadows campground is my preference).

Also, Virginia's Douthat State Park -- has been cited as one of the Top Ten state parks in America. Campground "A" on the lake is fantastic. 30 miles west of Lexington, VA - a few miles off I-64.

Virginia overall has a terrific state park system. West Virginia has great parks.

Your teardrop will be a star in every one of them.

Sam (the hubby) I believe is good with it. My daughter went with me to pick it up. She loves it but loves her camper better, it's a bigger one. We're excited to camp together this weekend. It's been over 20 years since I've camped at a real camp ground. I'll take pictures. Then I'll figure out how to post them.

See you on the road somewhere!
