It's the centerpiece of the "DougKraft gas pressure appliance museum" and is prominent in the living room. In case people don't know....I bought this from Dennis. Thanks guy! Doug

It found a better home than I could ever give it. It does look sweet. One day I will have to see it again as it was in its prime.

It's there now Dean and guess what...no place for you to sleep, as the museum has taken over the living room. Guess you need to finish up a trailer for a bedroom here huh? Just a little razz. ;) Doug

I gave it my best when I could to have it finished in time to camp in this summer, but at least it'll be done soon.

Does it appear that these can rest on the edge of the box for a 2nd position, the valve on the right end also has a slot for movement. I don't know much about the really old ones, and they are all a learning experience. Check these pics on the 9D, same vintage. It may be similar. Doug

You are right Doug, there is a second bump there, and it does lift it up about 1/2' off the burner. I didnt see a cup tho......

You may want to ask over on the Coleman forum how to preheat. I needed lessons on my Handy Chef. I'm not sure how it worked on your stove and they don't have a user manual posted in their archives on that one. What you can do, is just use a little propane type torch to preheat the gen. It's probably not the "official method" but it'll work. What's the little decal on the left front say, or is it all still readable? Doug

Do not, I repeat, DO NOT use galvinized metal in the stove!!! Galvinized metal gives off deadly gasses when heated!!

Zinc Vapors to be exact... Vapors that attack the lining of your lungs.
Almost bought the farm from brazing galvanized conduit in a confined space over a several day period back in my early twenties.
Took seven years to get back to square one on that deal...

Doug,
It's a good thing I didn't make that trek a while back. So far I haven't collected not one lamp, or stove yet.
