Just look up a "Metal Supplier" in the phonebook (or internet) and ask them what a "Stick" of 2x2x1/8 or 2x2x3/16 costs. A stick is 24ft long, some will sell partial sticks but if you need anything more than 10ft, it's cheaper to just buy the whole thing.

I don't know how much it costs now, but I paid around $72/stick 3 or 4 years ago.

three 20' pieces of 2x2x 1/8 cost me around $85.00 two weeks ago. Had a friend order it for me and I cut it up last week for my frame. Still havent paid him yet, but he said it was around that price. Hope that helps. :)
I did it, so you wouldn't have to...

I don't know "stick" pricing.... When I bought mine (or where I bought mine) pricing was by the pound....

Steel prices move around a lot, probably with fuel prices. They also vary greatly from vendor to vendor and with the length you purchase. Check out out http://www.metalsdepot.com to get an idea of what you should pay at a local vendor. This morning 2x2x 11 gauge cost $60 for a 24', $75 for 2- 12', and $100 for 4- 6'. At my local supplier you pay for the whole 24' even if you order smaller amounts. I buy full lengths but have them cut them up to my specs. They charge a small fee for the cutting.
