Postby kiblerk » Sun Jul 26, 2009 9:14 am

Well, I've returned from my first trip with my Lil Traveler! WONDERFUL!!!
Now, I'm looking for accessories for my camper. Does anyone have suggestions where to look to for them.

What kind of accessories? Try Cabela's, Wal-Mart (ugh!), Bed, Bath, & Beyond, Garage sales, Estate sales, Thrift stores.

First of all, congratulations on your trailer :applause:

Not sure what accessories are in your future, but if an EZ Up is something you are interested in, try Finders Keepers in Harrisonburg. We got a great deal on one there. I'd call 1st, since it is a salvage store, and their stock varies from one day to the next. (540) 437-1995

Cathi and I will be in Shenandoah National Park the weekend of August 8&9. Maybe we will see you there!

If you'd like to try out a gathering, we have one planned in VA Beach Sept. 25-27 All the info is here:

And as Hikerchick says, We want photos!

looking for useful things

Postby kiblerk » Sun Jul 26, 2009 8:16 pm

What I'd really like to find is an attachment beside my "bedroom" so I can get out and change clothes standing up. Also nice for this to be an area that if it's raining out, my dog can be somewhere that's dry. Wet dog in camper is not nice!

I'm trying to figure out how to do pictures. After all, it is a requirement!

There have been many discussions on such tent options that a search of the forum would uncover.

Many have had success with "SUV tents" that are designed to attach to the backs of minivans and SUVs. I have one that I used to use with my Honda Element -- very spacious, quite tall 10' x 10' But it's not easy for one person to setup.

Good luck.

I bought my traveler three years ago and can sell it for what I paid for it. I also recently customized it with graphics. Personal tinkering with these things brings great pleasure.

Hey, FireLion,

I like your foyer/changing room set up. I love my 5' Lil Traveler, but not having a place to keep our dog crate and having somewhere to change clothes has been a bit of a problem. I think this will solve both of my problems. Keeping the crate in the "foyer" with the curtains closed at night sounds like it would work. How much space does yours take up? 4 foot square? Also, do you have a good picture of how you have it attached to your tear? How much do you break it down when you're packing? Sorry to hijack the thread a bit, but I feel a Home Depot or Lowes visit in my very near future.

I'm curious too! How'd you attach the tubing?
