Hello All!

OK, I feel a teardrop coming in my future! Sounds like yall have a great time camping and making entries into the forum. I am going to plan on building my own teardrop soon. Hopefully, I will see yall in October at Lake Bistineau! God Bless!

Welcome to the teardrop camping world and to the South Central group ... we're the best!
My best advice is to see one in person... lay inside, lift the hatch, look underneath... if you wait till Bistineau you'll be overwhelmed with ideas, but you'll have a blast.
Don't worry , we'll make room... bring a tent and chair and sit a spell.

Hello Doug(Cactus),

Welcome to T&TTT.

I grew up just north of you(in big O). Living south of BR now.
I got the bug a while back and started on my TD build. Trying to complete it to make it to LCG in October also, but have slowed down due to the HOT weather. :sweaty:

There's lots of good advise and great people here to help answer any question you may have.

I'll be watching for the start of your TD build.

Later,

Mike

Hi Doug and welcome from another Cajun :peace2: I'm from a small town in South LA called White Castle but presently living in Tampa, FL. You joined a wonderful forum and will love the people here. When you start your build, please take lots of pictures :snappy: so we can cheer you along the way.

Hey Doug,
Welcome to the forum. Another lifetime ago I use to live in Duson. :) I believe the Lantier's [lan te ehs ?] had a grocery store there too--knew them thru their brother in Lake Charles. I grew up in Lafayette and went to high school in Starks over by Sulphur.
I built a 4x8 on a TSC no-floor trailer. Took 4 months and about 1800-1900 dollars. here is a link for my build/camping pics to give you inspiration  http://s215.photobucket.com/albums/cc145/panheadjohn60/ enjoy your build and take pictures of your progress and we'll cheer you on. :applause: Check out the Tearjerkers link--they are alot of fun camping with--I've been to three gatherings this year and ALWAYS had FUN!!!
Til later by the fire--John T. & Linda 8)

Howdy neighbor,

I live down the Bayou in Lafourche Parish. I've been lurking here for quite a while. I hope to start in the next year when the wedding is over & paid for.

Maybe we can get together some time when we head to Shreveport to visit our son.

If I knew retirement would be this much fun, I would have done it right out of high school.
