Um - hi! from Illinois

Postby godskid » Thu Jul 02, 2009 1:00 pm

Well, I've already said a few words in the "for sale" thread .... and may be well on my way to purchasing a unit. But I just got here yesterday! Anyway, I guess I'll say HI. I'm in Aurora, IL. Married but separated; still friends and still sometimes travelling together. Except he says a teardrop is too small for him ("no way I'll get into one of those") so this'll be all for me!

Oh, and I'm restarting a previous hobby of Revolutionary War re-enacting. Hence the pic (if I can get it up).

Welcome godskid, is that Gods kid or God skid? Anyhow, welcome to the best T&TTT site on the net. Any questions? Just ask, there's no such thing as a dumb question. Believe me, I've asked my share of them. See ya on the road.

Hey Deb,

Welcome to the forum.

Keep us in the pictures, okay? Even the re-enactment pics.

Welcome! I am near Belleville, IL and bought my 5x10 Silver Shadow in May. I love it, and all the folks here. I bought it for the kids and I, but hubby has come along several times and it's growing on him.

Thank you for all the hellos! I bought a teardrop from a fellow who was moving up in size. But if you go to the "For Sale" forum (allll the way at the bottom on the Forums page) and if you post pictures, you may find an interested party. And everybody wants to see the pictures, even if not in the market. Plus, you may change somebody's mind!

Congrats on joining so soon after finding the forum! Warning: highly addictive!!

I'm in Southeast WI not too far from the Illinois border. Got any recommendations for state parks to camp in in Illinois?

I haven't yet gone any further north than I90 ... and you may not want to come further south than that. But the DNR has a list of sites which include camping http://www.dnr.state.il.us/lands/Landmgt/programs/camping/index.htm#Sites. The Chain O Lakes campground looks nice!
