New to the froum

Hi there,

I just joined here because I really want to go camping. However I really don't know how else to do it! I have been thinking about buying the plans from Kuffel creek. However I want to build a 10' x 6ft camper. Also I would like to use this thing for communications also.

thanks and take care,

Ben

Hey Ben,

Welcome to the forum.

A 6x10 camper. That's perfect. That's exactly what I did with the Baja Benroy.

Here's what you do...

Read the Generic Benroy Plans, up there in the menu...

Then look at my build pics here: http://www.mikenchell.com/Baja_Benroy_Photo_Album/
Be sure to look at all 8 pages...

Then modify the design to fit your needs, and start making sawdust.

Have fun, and take lots of pics!

Mike...

P.S. Doesn't this look inviting? Yep, it's 6x10!!!

Hi Mike,

that does look aswsome. the problem is I have no money for an ink cartridge and can't print it. I do have it saved to thumb drive.

when you say 6x10....do you mean 6ft wide x 10ft long?

Yep, 6 ft wide and 10 ft long... I used 5x10 plywood for the sides...

so if I went with a 7 or 8' wide trailer.

here is what my dad told me:

3" channel
12 gauge thickness. Would this be thick enough or to thick?

my other question how much of it do I need?

thanks,

Ben aka K0BLR9

my tear dropper would be based also as a small communications vehicle to. thats why I am adding 2 extra feet to the width. I hope maybe a small table can be put in where to or three can sit at a table with VHF/UHF radios.

take care,

hey mike on yours what is that white square with the vents towards the back? I want to try and model mine close to yours because I like your doors. On the same had I want full length window doors like what the little guys have for theirs when the a/c,heater,dehumidifier are on.
