The doctors still aren't 100% sure why he had so much swelling in his lymph nodes...but the swelling is going down and they think it may have just been an infection of some sort!!!!

And....I might be gainfully employed again in a week or so (just waiting for a phone call). Thank you guys so much for the prayers.

Johnny, that's great news on both sides! Did they rule out Mono on your nephew? I hope he is starting to mend. So, you might be a working man again soon...that's awesome. Good luck J and keep us posted.

Thanks. I got the phone call today...I start work August 10th at the Goodyear Plant in Lawton!!! Better money...better benefits...better time off!

Hello everyone!
Could you please add my mother-in-law Judy to your prayer list? She had surgery last Monday to replace her knee. We don't know what has gone wrong, but every pain medication they have given her has affected her mental state. It has been a very rough week. She cannot be left alone, she keeps trying to go home. She has always been rather rude, crude, and not too nice. Boy howdy, you should see her now! The hospitals (yep, two different ones) have tried numerous different meds. They all have made her crazy. The doctors don't really know where to go next. I've decided that more prayers couldn't hurt. Thanks in advance!

Karol,
We sure will be praying for Miss Judy and for you too. It sounds like she has a low tolerance to pain meds.

Pain meds are tricky. My sister-n-law, Alexis, who is fighting Cancer, has been having a "tricky" time with pain meds too. The ones she was on were making her very sleepy but also talk crazy - sometimes it was funny as hell - sometimes it wasn't. She called me the other day from Lighthouse Ministries Used Goods store and sounded drunk. I asked her where she was and she said she was falling asleep on the sofa over there. I thought, oh crap, did she drive there? Come to find out, she was there with her mom, who drove, but she wanted me to come there but forgot why she called me. She seriously sounded drunk but it was the pain meds. She stopped taking those and is on something that makes her coherent.

We feel for you.

Well I haven't posted in a long while and though it was time for an update. It has been a long hard battle with my lung and liver cancer. Have gone through 4 different chemo receipe, each time the cancer would strink but at the end my body would reject the chemo and my cancer would start to grow. This last chemo receipe (#4) was working really good but not to be so, at the end my cancer started to grow again and it was my last hope. But just then FDA just approved a new drug, so I am trying it. It is my last chance (??), overall I feel pretty good. I do tire real easy and do take a couple different pain medication to help me with my breathing and the coughs. I am not sure if it is the heat wave that we have been having or if it is the new chemo that I seem to sleep a lot. Well I keep slugging away and I am not going to go away easy! ;)

Hey guys, keep us in your prayers. We seem to have someone in the hospital every month and now weekly. My mother in law is in and they will be biopsying her lungs in the next day or so............

On the good side the sister in law is doing very well under the circumstances. We are so grateful for all the prayers and will keep all of you in ours.

Arthur---you are definitely on the list. Be well soon.
