Postby Ron Dickey » Wed Aug 05, 2009 12:36 pm

I have found many idea for campers on the net and thought I could share some, That I have found. They may not be trailers at all but there are ideas that are found in pixs that lead to new ideas for designs.

oddly looking under "Modern tree houses" leaves one with an idea of what will work in the wind and small space and still look good.

Image

Hope you have some ideas you found to share for those who want to go beyond a simple trailer.

But remember
The teardrop trailer has remained to be the best design for simple camping, have been around for over 60 years, and many plans are offered to get you there and just leave you dreaming about the future trailer you will design next.

This is not designed to confuse the new comer just give them options in design.

cool pics, ron. i have read that VW is considering production of the VW Bus again (like they did with the Beetle), and if they make a camper, i'd want one!

and as a motorcyclist, the bike camper scared me at first. but i thought about it a bit and i think it's very do-able. it's basically a trike with a covered rear end.

Their Eurovan Westphalia is a very pricey critter.

Looks like the one pictured is a separate unit (I see 4 wheels, I think), but a teardrop trike would be COOL. 8)

Far more than just a drawing - these are currently in production. There's been a large following of this ever since it was a prototype. It's definitely not going to appeal to the hippie profile like years past with a 6 digit price tag though. But I am a fan of anything (house, car, camper) that gives you a much larger experience than its footprint.

What you need to do is make sure the camper is light enough for your trike to pull

although the eurovan is nice, it would have to be a retro-look VW bus for me. two of my older brothers drove them when i was a kid, and it would be great to have one in the family again.

eesh. with that small block, huge front tire, and regular-sized camper, i don't think it qualifies any more. :?

but like david said, a teardrop trike would be cool.
