The ultimate outdoor waffle makin' bacon frying machine?

Postby goldcoop » Mon Aug 10, 2009 6:32 pm

OK-

Here's a mystery

A month ago I got a Griswold Waffle Iron, Love it!

Then my church gave me a relic languishing in the basement, my guess from the 1940's & I believe the Boy Scouts used it....

Now that I have it home, cleaned up & working I noticed the stove burner had familiar "pockets" cast in it.... I thought HUMMMM

The Waffle Iron that I got a month ago fits PERFECTLY!!!!

NOW question is does anyone know if Griswold made such a beast?

Who said Waffles & Pancakes???

Whatcha think?

Cheers,

Coop

WOW, that is a perfect fit. What are the odds of that happening, and not being intentional?

That looks like a cool rig. You need to bring it to LCG4. Camp next to me. I like my breakfast at around nine-ish.

Wow, what a cool rig. I can say I want one. I think more people would go to church if they handed those out.

Coop, that is one of the slickest things I've ever seen for outdoor cooking! What fantastic luck how it all came together. Congrats  (even though you may never again have a peaceful breakfast while camping with a group)

I'm sure you'll be invited to every gathering within a thousand miles or so too ;)

If he has not started yet Doug might be able to build his next tear project around that table. It would be the birth of the Waffletear.
