Last questions on epoxy and dye.

What grit paper to sand with before epoxy and after epoxy? If I see no signs of blush do I still need to wet sand? After epoxy has fully cured, do I sand it to level it before varnsh/clearcoat or do I do the leveling when sanding the varnish?
Got aniline dye, mixed up the frst batch and it is darker than I want, can I just add more water at this point to lighten it? Applied it to a test piece. Also I am assuming I apply it just like regular stain, right?
Thanks
Aaron
By the way thanks for the help, epoxied the floor bottom and it was either easier than I thought, or I screwed it up. Since it dried and hasn't fallen off I assume I did it right.
If I could shut my brain off, I could save myself alot of time, money and effort.
