My husband has his prized Gibson Les Paul... he'll be sad when he hears the news on his way home tonight.

He was the guy that put the electric guitar on the map.

Was listening to one of his albums - CHESTER & LESTER (guitar monsters) Chet Atkins and Les Paul. Wow what a recording session that must have been. Pure joy between two great masters. See if you can get a copy - listen.

Several years ago I was previlaged to attend a MASTER CLASS taught by Les. The techniques he demonstrated left the class floored. It will be an experience that I will remember always.

Les Paul made what modern recording and guitar playing is today. He invented the first electric guitar (The Log) by inventing the first electric guitar pick up.

Les Paul was a great guitarist, which he should be remembered for, but most people don't know that he was the pioneer in recording industry. The standard norm for today is multi-track recording which is his baby. He invented multi-track recording.

What a great man and person he was. He broke the mold no doubt.

Now he's jamming with some great folks..........I don't need to name names.......you can make your own list. Y'all know who they are.....

Anyway Les.......How High's The Moon?
