Nice restore job. That sure brings back memories. It's a shame you can't get new ones any more in the states. I hear they are still used by mail carriers in Oz as "Postie" bikes. My first bike was a 1970 CT-70 when I was only 12.
I got the bug again and am thinking of buying a couple of the new Lifan LF-110 YG-3 (CT-70 clone with a 110cc engine.) These little street legal camp bikes will do over 45mph and get 100 mpg. They are perfect for errands to the camp store and down the trail. The handlebars even fold down just like the old Honda's did for compact storage. There are a variety of engines that can be interchanged in this model, from a tame 5.5hp 70cc model to an 11hp, 140cc model that'll hit 65 mph.
Most come either in a manual or auto clutch version. All but the 140cc monster has an electric starter.
The more modest 7hp, 110cc version is fine for us though. You can pick one up brand new in Texas for only $949.
