HI All I'm a First Timer

I am currently in the process of building my first tear drop. I will be my winter project.. I am building it from ideas I have seen in the internet. It will be a 4x8, I know that it's small but hey it's my first time. I'll post pic's of the progress as I get them... I hope to meet ya'll soon..

Welcome to the board. There is nothing wrong with a 4x8. That's the most popular size out there.

Welcome to the wacky world of ...well, whatever it is you plan to build!
haha... and where are you located? There is bound to be another teardrop builder/dreamer in your backyard.
I am near OKC and hoped to have started mine by now, I'm already calling it my BREDBOX because I collect gingerbread stuff and well, more about that later when I actually get it started.

I have looked around this forum and everyone has really helped with decisions (I'm going to go ahead with 5x8) and wants, and ideas, and ... well everything except the $$ to get things started.!! haha

We love pictures -- keep posting on your progress!

Trailer update..

A little info on my trailer, I building a trailer from scratch using 2x2 tubing, my frame will be 3'11" wide and 8' long, I will be using 1/2" birch plywood for the sides and they will cover the sides of the frame. I will use 2x2 pine for the cross beams (so I can run my wires through it) I will be covering it with .032 aluminum pretty basic, I was contemplating using powder coated steel (comes in all colors and is only bout $35 a sheet) but I like the look of aluminum. I'm still firming up all my other ideas like A/C placement (I have an 800 btu electronic unit) and placement of other goodies.. So more to come as things develop...

Well, as luck would have it I managed to slavage one from an old control panel so in my case it was free.. I do kinda wonder how much it would cost to build your own... If we could only find the plans for that, I'll see what I can find...

An 800 btu TEAC brand A/C with heat in a NEMA 12 enclosure is only $1699.95 plus shipping. Looks like Greg got himself a "bargain". I think there might be a market for little A/C's here in the US, you know they make 1000 and 2000 btu units for small caravans in the UK. Only catch is they are 220volt 50 hz.
