I'm with ya Kevin....if you mixed something with the meat like a bread and some egg to make it not so tough and could squish....It would make a great item. All those little openings would be perfect to hold condiments, like mayo, mustard, ketchup, whatever. Wouldn't want to squirt out of the bun since it had ridges to grip! Waffle burgers...it's what's for dinner! Might sound stupid...but I"m gonna try it this next weekend.. My nieces daughter will probably eat it up...She's a great kid...has her own chefs's jacket and hat! She's really looking forward to cooking with Uncle Doug this coming weekend....now where is that 40# sack of potatoes that need to be peeled? Doug

Moki

That sound realy good, When I make these burgers I usually put a little onions in mine.

 ( I think I better go on a pre Gathering diet so buy the time the gathering comes around I'll be ready to eat, eat & eat a lot of great food. )

Ken F.
P.S.
I usually use ground sirlion or extra extra lean ground beef this makes a very big difference.

Cool, I'd love to see it done. I've found some decent points in the area back in the 70's. That would be fun to learn how to do. Chert or obsidian? Doug

Doug, obsidian, I had some chert, I ordered from back east, but have used it up. We have a mountian of obsidian down below Delta, Ut. and there is a source in OR. (around Burns ) they are both on public land and don't cost a think to collect it. I haven't Knapped in a while and there are better guys at it than me, but I will be glad to help with the basics, and people can take it from there.. JIm G :D
